Was there a cyber attack on uber ? or is it a serious bug in uber system?
I just received a call from a passenger that he booked a ride , and when will I reach the destination. But, wait , I am not a driver . I have never even registered for uber driver.
Yes this is happening now a days , and many people are experiencing this situation.
Multiple complaints from different people have been launched to uber , that they are receiving calls from Uber Passengers , regardless of the fact they are even NOT a driver. This is causing inconvenience to the passengers who are booking those rides , and the one’s who are receiving the calls.

At this point we haven’t heard from uber administration regarding the cause of this issue. It may be someone messing with uber data , through some kind of cyber attack . OR it may be a bug in system of serious nature.
The primary focus of such companies usually is to provide convenient way to use services , but if the same system causes inconvenience or some sort of confusion among the public then this may result to be reducing the number of customers for the company.
This situation that was experienced particularly in Pakistan has put some customers in a state of confusion . Just to mention here that the typical competitor of uber is Careem. Which is known for giving tough time to uber .
Passengers look divided on the question , whether which one of these is a better service. Answers differ from city to city and from time to time.
